Destination Portland
Portland is located on Oregon’s northern border on the I5 corridor, and is known for its quirky vibe. You can experience crazy donuts at Voodoo Donuts, browse the stacks at Powell’s Bookstore, shop until you drop at Lloyd Center, or explore the natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge, ski Mt. Hood, or even venture to the Oregon Coast. But really, who want’s to do any of that when playing in a Pokémon Regional Championship is an option!
Portland has an easy to use light rail line, the MAX that connects major shopping centers and business districts.
The Oregon Convention Center is located in the Lloyd District of Portland, at the junction of I5 and I84. It is also an 18 minute commute from the airport during non peak times, and a 34 minute ride on the Tri Met MAX red line. Dining options inside the venue include a Portland Roasting Company, as well as a snack bar inside the event hall. Nearby dining includes BurgerVille, Denny’s, and Red Robin.
